Hyperhidrosis – Excessive Sweating

Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by excessive sweating, most commonly affecting the underarms. Treatment with botulinum toxin temporarily reduces the activity of the sweat glands in the treated area, helping to decrease excessive sweating and improve everyday comfort.

Treatment Area and What to Expect During Treatment

The treatment is performed in the underarm area. Following a medical assessment, small amounts of botulinum toxin are injected into the skin using a series of tiny injections. The procedure typically takes 20 to 30 minutes. Most patients experience only mild, short-lived discomfort and can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment.

After Treatment: Results and Longevity

When will I see the results?
The first effects are usually noticeable within a few days after treatment, with maximum results seen after approximately two weeks.

How long do the results last?
Results typically last about six months. A maintenance treatment may be considered when excessive sweating begins to return.

Is the treatment painful?
Discomfort is generally mild and well tolerated.

What side effects may occur?
Mild redness, tenderness, or bruising may occur at the injection sites. These effects are usually temporary.
